Ashten & Allison: Navigating Faith/Religion Through Empathy and Open-mindedness
Show Notes

Ashten Wickham and Allison Del Fium are the Co-Hosts of the What the Faith podcast. What The Faith is a space for the faith curious. More specifically, the faith misfits. WTF is more interested in the journey than the destination, more passionate about conversation than conversion, and more driven by empathy than by division. They believe that having meaningful discussions with one another allows us to discover humanity and acknowledge realities beyond our own.

Although they have different backgrounds and perspectives, Ashten and Allison both believe in the power of interfaith discussion. As significant others, navigating a multi-faith relationship, they continue to support one another in their individual faith journeys. They hope their story and work with What The Faith inspires others to learn more about a reality different from their own.

In this episode, many topics related to faith are covered. Allison and Ashten both share their faith journeys thus far and experiences within religion. They talk about their experience navigating faith as an interfaith couple. A reoccurring topic throughout this episode includes how to cultivate the skill of listening to other's perspectives and ideas with an open mind and why this is such an important skill for growth as humans. Also, discussed is why religion has been such an intricate and continuous part of human existence for centuries.
